Amazon provides Vine members … The program isn't as much fun as it was years ago. I knew I was one step closer to being cut. I've been a part of Amazon Vine since it's inception in 2007. Started by brekman General Chat.

What surprised me though is that having my vine membership ended really didn't upset me in the least. Just curious why YOU are on here if you are so experienced and do not want to hold anyone’s hand. I'm sure all empty queues are getting the same message. Some items, like Chinese-made clothes now labeled "an Amazon brand" cost more in taxes than what the retail price is. Computers, printers, software, monitors, tv's, sports equipment, clothing, shoes, books, a cell phone, tablets, toys, a musical instrument, home decor, candles, food, luxury grooming items, speakers, gadgets, bicycles, jewelry, small appliances, cookware, vitamins, supplements, furniture, and artwork. Are Vine Voices paid for writing reviews or pressured to write favorable reviews? Can you tell me? Ultimately, Vine Voices become eligible based on the value and trust other Amazon.com customers place in the Voices’ ability to provide helpful and insightful reviews. Amazon Vine invites the most trusted reviewers on Amazon to post opinions about new and pre-release items to help their fellow customers make informed purchase decisions. To be honest, it was a part of my life to wake up and check my queue to see what goodies may have been added overnight.

So if you want to become a Vendor you need to register with the Amazon Vendor program. I would like to submit my product to vendor central for getting review vine program reviewers.

I'm getting ready to downsize and move to Chicago and was so relieved to log in tonight and see that I am no longer a part of Amazon Vine.

I agree - this is absolutely not clear on how and where to join vine program as a seller or what are the prerequisites to get into a vendor central program. It's interesting the message has changed.

I happy for the time I had with vine, and maybe sometime in the future I'll be back.

Thank you for participating in the Amazon Vine program," do you think that means they might actually have me back at some point? How do I join the program? What would you expect on the “Help for NEW Sellers” forum??? The program was created to provide customers with more information including honest and unbiased feedback from some of Amazon’s most trusted reviewers. Maybe they want to get rid of a bunch of the old timers? The taxation of items has been a COMPLETE drag. But it appears to think I'm bias'd. You do pay tax as income tax on everything you get. No. There was no reason given. How does Amazon Vine work? In other word, the supplier may recall a product. Now I feel like a weight has been lifted and I can enjoy what I have and make thoughtful reflective decisions on anything new I bring into my home and pay full price for.

I never said anything about spoon feeding. They probably weren't thrilled I hadn't reviewed in a while, but neither had I ordered in a while.. been going through a bunch of things that had negatively affected my ability to write reviews (mostly time-related). I never heard of this freeloader program. Nearly everything I see in my house, that I eat from the pantry, and that my kids play with, poop into, or dress in... came from Vine. So if you take $8000 worth of stuff you get a 1099 for $8000 that you have to pay taxes on like it was self employment. I'll be paying $500 in income taxes next year. It’s just A-Z and Seller Performance that don’t have phones. There is no value in that. Vine Voices are selected based on several criteria, but primarily on the helpfulness of their reviews as judged by all other customers and by their demonstrated interest in the types of products that are featured in the program. Writing a negative review will not impact a Voice’s reviewer ranking.

The vendor cannot influence, modify or edit the reviews. If a Vine Voice writes a negative review, will it impact his or her reviewer ranking? Not sure why but guessing either I have not kept up with reviews (and I haven't as much as I should) or they are going to downsize me.

I am very well aware that the reviewers are invited.
